From Margherita to Butter Chicken: 5 of our customers’ favourite dishes
There are more than 250 dishes on our menu – but a few of them are ordered again and again. We asked in the kitchen and put together five classics that have been among the most popular orders at Pizza La Mamma for years. All five can be ordered online directly.
1. No. 1 Margherita
The classic of classics: tomato sauce, cheese, a thin, evenly baked crust – nothing more is needed. The Margherita is our most-ordered pizza and the best yardstick for a good pizzeria. 2. No. 12 Salami
If it has to be a topped pizza, most people reach for the salami. Spicy, hearty and equally popular with children and adults – the perfect choice for a family evening, ideally as a family pizza to share. If you like, add mushrooms or hot peppers as an extra. Go to No. 12 Salami
3. No. 330 Butter Chicken
Our evergreen from the Indian kitchen: tender chicken breast in a creamy curry sauce with Indian spices, served with basmati rice. Mild enough for everyone who does not like it hot, and aromatic enough to become addictive. Many customers add a naan bread and a mango lassi – a complete Indian meal delivered to your door. 4. No. 111 Spaghetti Bolognese
Pasta like at home: spaghetti with a rich minced-meat sauce, slowly cooked and sprinkled with cheese. The bolognese is our most popular pasta dish – in the lunch menu with salad just as much as in the evening as a main course. It comes in a thermal box so the sauce stays hot. 5. No. 43 Calzone Salami
The folded pizza: dough, cheese, tomato sauce, salami and ham, folded over and baked golden brown. Crispy outside, juicy inside – and thanks to the closed shape it stays hot on the way to you for a particularly long time. Available in small and large. Go to No. 43 Calzone Salami
How our regulars combine
One pattern stands out: those ordering for several people usually take a large salami or Margherita for the table plus a single dish from the Indian or Italian menu. Families with children order the 46×33 cm family pizza half Margherita, half salami – entered as a note in the order pop-up, no problem for the kitchen. And with the butter chicken we recommend a side salad, as the portion of rice is generous.
